These might look like plant specimens captured in amber… but in fact are many drawings, suspended in layers of resin...

The artist pours a layer of resin, lets it harden, draws in ink on the transparent surface, then covers with another thin layer of resin, draws more, repeats… until he’s built, grown, a multilayered drawing. It is a bit like stacking drawings made directly on glass… but these layers are seamlessly fused.

They are astounding to see in person. Especially looking in on the drawings from the side. And the “natural forms” are all inventions of the artist’s imagination.
