Lace Bead Heritage Language-2, 2007, 14” x 10”, watercolor and graphite on paperHere is a piece showing a new process -- these are etched into tablets of encaustic wax, and the lines filled with oil paint. The process is similar to how one would create an etching plate, but without the printing onto paper.

REALLY lovely. Makes me think of a Viennese artist whose name I can't recall, but he did paintings and buildings.
As a sidebar, I am a descendant of Lithuanian immigrants. In my mom's family they always referred to Charles Bronson as "that good looking Lithuanian."
Ooh! Ooh! the artist was Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Love him.
