Tim Groen is an illustrator, but its his collages that caught our eye. When we got a card announcing the show, we kept it on our desk for weeks. Every time we looked it, it made us happy. Isn't it amazing what art can do?

Made with vintage wallpaper on canvas and custom-made wood panels, his collages are simple still-lives with a flair that makes them insta ready for interior designers. Not surprisingly, he has been commissioned by Barneys and is having the last day of a show at De La Espada tonight (corner of Grand and Greene).

Beautiful. I think I finally found art I'd be willing to pay for. Too bad I'm a broke grad student. I hope he still has some available when I graduate 2 years from now.
You should try contacting him. Artist often make prints of their work that they can sell for more affordable prices.
thanks. i love vintage wallpaper + modern silhouettes.
