Kitchen Spotlight: London Urchin's Amazing Fold-Out
From The Kitchn: Food, cooking, and nourishment at home.

Remember London Urchin, the Small Cool 2007 winner? She graciously allowed The Kitchn back into her apartment for a spotlight on her tiny fold-out kitchen, a truly amazing piece of design and carpentry. We look at her cleverly hidden dishwasher, oven, and refrigerator, and talk with her about her architect's brilliance and the choices that made this such a beautiful and usable solution for her small yet spacious apartment.

More from The Kitchn below, including recipes for sourdough bread and Passover borscht, the reason why some cheeses have crunchy bits, yet more KitchenAid gadgets, and a gorgeous small kitchen renovation.

Hans Olsen. Danish. 1953. Comes in 3-legged or 4-legged (more rare) versions. Try E-Bay and the usual mid-century modern antique sources (I even had a boyfriend whose parents had this exact dining set)

The 4-legged version, besides being more comfortable, is also more elegantly designed (note the chair backs and how they are rounded). One just sold on EBay for over $4000

I own that same table. I love it, but with having a 9 month old who is just starting to walk, the table is a little impracticle. If someone is interested my email is youngwise@optonline.net. The table has a fold-out leaf, 4 legged chairs, some wear but not much. i have pics.
