The Kitchen: Britney Spears Noodle Bra

2005_10_11 Britney bra.jpgWith Halloween right around the corner, perhaps you're looking for that last little piece to complete your culinary costume. Well, folks, you're in luck. Seems some lady named Sandy (eBay ID "playdoughgurl ") has been getting mighty crafty with the pasta and Super Glue.

"This Noodle Bra was Painstakingly Handcrafted entirely by me. Each noodle is made from the finest 100% Durum Wheat and fastened as securely as possible on this intricately designed bra."

Go on. Bid. I dare you. [via The Food Section]

I'm holding out for the Rigatoni jock strap.

P(2) -- Good thing I was eating, not drinking, when I read that!

P2 is absolutely the center square. He never disappoints.

Wow - this takes those macaroni art projects from kindergarten days to a entirely new level! (hmmm... I think mom still has my gold-spray-painted-macaroni-on-paper-plate-Christmas-wreath somewhere. Maybe I could rework it a bit...)

P(2) - ok the pasta bra looks uncomfortable but your suggestion seems even more painful - and I don't even have those parts!

There is an "al dente" joke here somewhere, but I am not going to make it.

(blows espresso out her nose at p(too)'s unmade al dente joke)

My question: what is one dressed as, wearing this bit of folk-art couture? "Betty Crocker takes belly dance lessons"?

The "light blings" photoshopped in by the enterprising macaroni artist is absolutely the best part. It gives it that glamorous touch.

Oh yes, the "light blings"! You guys laugh, but someone will show up in Key West at Fantasy Fest wearing this.

P2-only rigatoni. i would hold out for the cannelloni version

This thread has made my day. OK; that and being quoted on On The Blog.

luigi--

I like your thinking. AND pasta expands when cooked!! ;)

wende - nice to know I'm not the only one p(2) has caused "espresso nose".

posted by Libby on 2005-10-18 18:40:13

P2 -- Are you available? luigi is single and has impeccable design sense - -I think you should meet for an espresso!

posted by Kathryn on 2005-10-18 23:15:56

Wow....so THIS is is the kind of stuff I miss when I leave AT for a few days!! :)

With all this "espresso nose" talk, I think meeting for a Green Tea Frapuccino would be preferred.

Or a nice plate of cannelloni. :)

How long does one have to troll EBay to find these treasures?
Maybe AT should incorporate some light blings into the racier chair art, so we can view them in the office.

P2,
Luigi pretty much sticks with espresso (maybe he'll have the odd macchiato now and then) but I'm sure he's available for dinner! Where and when???

(Just call me "Grace")

posted by Kathryn on 2005-10-19 11:57:24

Hey K/Grace--
Thanks for the offer, but I'm not currently "in the market". But also not opposed to a meet and greet!

But where were you with offers like these when I was single?!?!? :)

posted by patrick (the other one) on 2005-10-19 14:07:30

No telling, but that's usually the way it goes, right?

Regardless, I am not suggesting anything more than a meet and greet...how can I get in touch with you?
