The Kitchen: Coffee Comes to SoHo, TemporarILLY

2005_10_19 illy.jpgThis morning, an Illy espresso pod fell out of the newspaper. And with it, an invitation to visit the Galleria Illy in SoHo. The shop, which opened in September, has a short run. It closes December 15th (sorry, no last minute Francis! Francis! espresso machine for you this year), so if you like your coffee strong and Italian, get thee to SoHo.

And if you come armed with that little pod of espresso, they'll brew you a cup. For free.

Galleria Illy
382 West Broadway (between Spring and Broome)
Open Tuesday - Sunday, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

A GREAT SPACE FOR THE BEST ESPRESSO

The pods are a breeze to use (yes - I got sucked into the Illy one-year membership thing because I lusted after the FrancisFrancis X5 and wanted the discount on the machine). Hmmm.... after 12/15 I guess you could send people my way because, heaven knows, one person with that membership gets enough pods to last several lifetimes!
