While blogs have been covering restaurants for a while now, we're looking forward to ignoring "Cheap Eats for under $25" and just talking about COOKING.
As James Carville got Bill Clinton to say years ago, "It's about cooking, stupid."
Sara Kate was up very late last night and we're hoping to open in just a few hours, so sharpen your knives.....

Does boiling water and using the microwave count? ;)
I was feeling guilty for picking "often" when I haven't cooked-for-real since Thanksgiving... but we're into the part of the fall quarter where eggnog latte seems like the perfect food.
Love love to cook. That's why I had to join a gym. I bake everythihng from scratch. Cheat on other stuff. Rachel Ray. The girl my husband had a crush on till he saw how she tips and seem to encourage millions to tip the same way. You should see him go in a tizzy.
Speaking of sharpening knives, I need to do something about my Henkels. I've had them for nearly 15 years and they're long overdue for a professional sharpening (I've been getting by just using a steel up until now). Anyone recommend a place in NYC? (I'm in east midtown)
My lovely new Mrs. has sold me on the idea of cooking one meal together per week. And I'm loving it.
But the first time she calls Extra-Virgin Olive Oil "EVOO," she's out the door.... ; )
Nora
Head straight to Broadway Panhandler
do not pass go
do not collect $200
take your knives there asap
they will love you for it :-)
seriously though, they're the best and they now have a knife club that when you buy a new knife gets you free sharpenings during the year
if you need a new knife, go for a santoku
it really will change your life
What does Rachel Ray say about tipping? I barely know who she is, but if she's a cheapo when it comes to tipping she's dead to me.
