Function Tiles from Droog

Oh, neat! We spotted these Function Tiles by Droog over at Trend Hunter. And we're suprised we haven't seen these, given that they've been around since 1997.

Function Tiles make the most of your tiled wall. They turn the tile face into a drawer, tissue holder, robe hook and more. We love the suprise of these guys and, of course, the fact that they give you a little additional storage in what is normally unused space. We can always count on Droog for innovation.

This is a perfect solution for replacing our broken tiles that are too hard to find an exact match.

Saw these at Droog in Amsterdam, so they're definitely still in production. But you do have to bear in mind that any potential future plumbing problems would become a nightmare. Also depending on your individual case, you may or may not save any space (imagine that the whole wall would need to be moved fwd to create the look of the recessed drawer)
