(This is a new feature! The TileVault will be collecting tile inspiration from around the world. Feel free to send in your own.)
• What: Penny Round Tiles in celadon from Ann Sacks
• Where: In the bathroom at Allyson & Jim's house in Beacon, NY
• Why: This lovely bathroom uses one of the simplest of tiles to great effect, employing a soothing green to echo the watery nature of the room. We also like the way the floor and walls are unified. And if you really like it, we just heard that Allyson and Jim are selling their house....

The tile is lovely... and I hear improvements in the bathrooms and kitchen net the biggest returns when selling a home.
Good luck!

I lived in Beacon for a year before moving across the river to buy a house Newburgh (much more urban, and MUCH less expensive), and I can attest to Beacon being a wonderful town to live in. The commute to Grand Central is easy (I still do it every day), and the main drag is full of great shops and restaurants.
I wish Allyson and Jim the best of luck in selling their home!

I remember this bathroom from the earlier feature. It is beautiful. Can't help but feel that it would take quite a lot of patience to lay that kind of tile. Very nice work.

Kind of off topic but I have tiles like these in my bathroom, except they are white marble. The tiles are about 80 years old so they are now are a dirty grey. I recently scratched off a paint drop on one of the tiles and underneath the spot was pearl white. I've been trying various cleaning solutions but can't find anything to bring the marble back to its original color. Does anyone know of a good product I can use?
