Top 10: Space-Saving Sinks

10-23-sink1.jpgTiny bathrooms call for tiny sinks. But sinks are serious: they get heavy use and can be the difference between happy efficiency and downright discomfort in the bathroom. Some of the best designs that don't make you feel like you're on a plane, train, or automobile:

La cava makes some really nice small sinks.

There is also another sink that is rectangular called sucre by a company I can't remember that is really elegant and small.

Great posting! This is exactly why AT is sooo useful. By the way, the posting about small toilets is also very helpful.

I have a small bathroom (only 4.5" x 7" -- though the bathtub pushes out of those dimensions a little bit).

Personally, I'd rather "eat up" precious space with a roomier sink instead of using something as tiny as the Elfe by Porcher.

For others who are facing this "Goldilocks problem" (not too big and not too small, but just right), I suggest the following sinks:

There are only 5 listed, and this is supposed to be "top 10" -- so where are the other 5???

I really like the Citterio-designed H20 sink for Inda. It comes in 2 versions, a composite made of marble dust and a porcelain version. We didn't get it in the end because of the 12 week lead time.

Not one of the tiniest out there, but a reasonable size, especially when wall-hung:

Monika - there are 5 listed here as a start to the top 10 small sinks. Readers' comments can ultimately contribute to the list.

We own the Beryl Hampshire sink and it's perfectly sized for a NY apartment. Decolav also makes some that are similar in size and style.

The "sink positive" toilet lid sink can be had for $30 less at http://www.gaiam.com/retail/product/02-0334

Also search for gaiam online coupons; I just bought this sink and got free shipping.

Might also want to add the beautiful "soft sink" by Jongerius for Droog.

Check out the Duravit Vero--nice clean lines, would fit into your decor--for a decent price at www.insidestore.com:

they also have other small, stylish duravit sinks (but not so tiny that you feel like you're in a dollhouse).

I need a sink within 20 1/4".
Hampshire™ Countertop Sink seems to be fine - can it be mounted without a vanity? If not, can you recommend vanity that you are using?
Am going with Toto Aquia toilet. Thanks!
