I'm sure you're now totally overwhelmed with editorial suggestions but here's mine.

I went to the Beaux-Arts in Paris for sculpture and supported myself with work in a pillow atelier. Now I'm trying to make a go of it out of my West Village apartment (NYC) with a website..

The pillows are high-end and made from antique textiles. Please take a moment to look.

Making your own throw pillows is terribly easy. Granted, I have a sewing machine, so that made the task that much easier. After months of searching for just the right pillows that my husband and I could both agree on, I found a great patterned fabric at http://www.reprodepot.com, resulting in some fantastic looking pillows.

AmericnJewl, it amazes me how much money people will spend on a throw pillow. $50? Over $100 for a 12-inch square pillow that has to be drycleaned? Egad, no way! They are so easy to make!

Just searched & found several Thomas Paul throw pillows on eBay ranging from $17.95 to $90.

I just got a sewing machine for Christmas and I've been joking that everyone on my list is getting throw pillows next year.

Seriously, I've never used a sewing machine before in my life, but I will learn, because it ASTOUNDS ME how much throw pillows cost.

And then maybe I will start a website selling my very own, "handmade, one of a kind" throw pillows. Love some of the examples all of you have shown here. I can admire them...and then go make my own.

Liberace is a norwich, I believe. He's heavily featured in ads and articles, so I'm pretty sure I read that.

Marianne, be careful. I started a business designing, among other things, throw pillows because I just couldn't afford the beautiful home accessories out there. I got a used sewing machine and taught myself how to sew and the next thing I knew I had a business. I wish you the best of luck and have fun with the new machine.

I'm fond of the green eucalyptus design. The price - $173 - stings a bit, tho'.

It's a Norfolk. Norwich Terriers have pointy, not floppy ears.

Just got back from Westminster, so I have it on pretty good authority.

Well, that, and the puppy-love of my life is a Norfolk terrier named Gertrude Rose. :)

I know it is boring, but I'm loving the throw pillows at West Elm right now. They are cool and cheap but the pillow inserts are crap. Luckily you can just buy the case and they fit over ones I already have from Crate & Barrel.

I agree about the pillows at West Elm. They have a great selection that changes quickly, and they look much more up-scale than their prices reveal...

i'm probably waaay too late on this post for anyone to see this, but Sharon Spain is a wonderful textile designer here in San Francisco (link below). She makes these gorgeous silkscreened silk pillows. Hey, I am wearing my Sharon Spain t-shirt right now!

Oh I'm enjoying all this pillow talk! I agree that sometimes throw pillows do appear overpriced. Paying $100 for a pillow seems completely insane to me. Is the label that people chase rather than the pillow?

Came across some lovely pillows here and at a much reasonable price tag of $30!
