My favorite clock of all time is the GE/Harkerware designed by Russel Wright (click link for my apt and see kitchen picture -- top right). When I was a kid in a GE Town, lots of folks had these in their kitchens (thanks to company store, no doubt), as an adult I later learned they were Russel Wright's. They are really easy to find on eBay, and can be found in charcoal, light green, mustard/chartreuse and salmon.
The links don't work ... which one is the black clock with the red hand that circles the hour?
One of my favorite clocks is a $20 one I got at Target years ago that's silver and has the metal cage in front of it like a school gymnasium clock.
This is a point of contention with K, but I hate having clocks in the house. The only place I keep one is a small unobtrusive alarm clock in the bedroom. I figure my computer has a clock, my microwave and stove have clocks, my TV has a clock, how many more do I need?
I prefer not watching time tick tick tick away.
