Bamboo Bath Caddy at Red Envelope

04.12.caddy.jpg

Make your bath work as a library. We love reading in the bath but hate soggy books. We're really in love with this bamboo bath caddy from Red Envelope.

It's complete with a book stand, two loofahs, and two compartments for holding bath products. The caddy has sliding arms that adjust to all tub sizes. We love the caddy's wooden craft - it's relaxing just looking at it! Fifty-eight dollars at Red Envelope.

I love so much from Red Envelope but I had a couple really horrible experiences with their service. I will never buy anything from them again.

Cute, but looks really precarious.

Isn't there anything better in, say, metal?

How do you avoid soggy books when there's a whole bathtub of hot steamy water inches below it, regardless of whether or not you've got a bamboo shelf for the book or not?

Oh, I'm more than happy to risk soggy books for a relaxing hour in the bathtub once a week!
This is a very pretty caddy -- I like the looks of this better than the metal ones I have seen elsewhere. I think it might work best on a large claw foot tub. My little tub has so little room on the wall side I would worry about this caddy falling right in - and while I don't mind a bit of damp in my books, I would mind if the book decided to take a swim!
I wonder if attaching rubber pads to the ends would help it stay in place.
