Dept. of Rug. There are a few rug shops in the city that sell richly colored, color-field Himalayan style carpets and Carini Lang is at the top of the heap.
Using only natural dyes (not chemical) and hand-spun silk and Himalayan wool, which has a high lanolin content, these rugs softly shimmer with color, while feeling silky soft under your feet. Every client we have introduced to Carini Lang has fallen in love.
While the prices at places like Dolma are a bit more affordable, they offer less variety (@$31-$42 per sq/ft). Carini Lang is nearly double the price, but offers much more sophisticated colorings, patterns and customization.

#1, especially lovely (i'd vote yes if my browser would let me).
I've used Carini Lang in the past. We had a problem with one of the rugs but after a couple of tries they got it right. The guy who owns it was super accomodating and made sure we were happy in the end.
I, also, had a problem voting yes. Browser problems I guess.
I have purchased a few CarinLangs and I feel like I own a piece of living art. It has been the happiest most satisfying purchase I have ever made. The pleasure the rugs bring me (through living with them and the admiration of my house guests) makes the cost minimal. The rugs do cost a bit of money but the value is very high. Joe Carini, the owner, gives 100% everytime I call upon him. He is intuitive, patient and obviously artistically gifted. I have placed my trust in him and he has proven himself worthy. I am very impressed with the entire CariniLang operation.
Also, I could not vote.
