of course, this kind of bathroom design requires the ultimate accessory--the proud owner's perfectly toned body. eye candy indeed.

oh wait--silly me, that's a PRIVATE beach they have there for their front (back?) yard. obviously this is for your vacation home, not your penthouse apartment back in the city. duh ;)

Aw, c'mon, sooj. Even if one didn't rock a beautiful physique, how could you NOT want to strut around in a bathroom so simultaneously over-the-top AND understated as this? This bathroom is pure aspirational "design-porn".

That place is larger then my lounge and dinning room put together.

I like the tub though and what I wouldn't give to have that view from my bathroom!
Poor anyone who happens to look in while I'm getting out, they will sue and I'll be paying for therapy for years!

heh. don't mind me, i'm just bitter (if you read the current open thread on bathrooms you'll see why).

btw, how in the heck does that bathtub get filled anyway? if it's some sort of concealed mechanism, i must say it's extremely well hidden. i say it's magic.

and another thing. even if your physique was such that you could safely bathe w/o fear of litigation, there is still the issue of the toilet. notice that it is--of course--right next to the window. now, i don't care how beautiful the toilet-user is, there are some things i'd just rather not see. call me old-fashioned, but there it is.

(and i'll stop griping now, i promise!)

At first I assumed that this was the first entry of the contest--and I was about to shoot myself because there's no way in, like, 40 bazillion years that my bathroom or physique could ever aspire to this ...

I like the small vanity & cabinet (3rd pick down) -- who makes it???

yeah, i like that 3rd pic too. so nice to see someone actually incorporate hidden storage for a change into sleek design, instead of the ubiquitous open storage that requires everything you own to be worthy of display. i also really like the wall-mounted faucet--why don't more bathrooms have this feature? does anyone know if it's technically more difficult to install plumbing this way, or what?

I love the sink in the 3rd pic down too. Bet it costs a fortune.

I am trying to find a picture of the Happy D washbasin shown in April issue of Country Home . I would also like to know where it is available in New York City or New Jersey.

Thank you

The First Pic is Happy D Free-standing bathtub with an inlet that is integrated with the outlet.

The Second Picture is the Happy D range of sanitary ware - you can see the bathtub, the couple closet and the bidet, also the washbasin with a metal console.

The Third Pic is a personal favorite of mine - Happy D washbowl, 40 cm, with attached vanity unit, which is available in 6 different wood finishes.

The Sixth picture is a Darling washbasin with In The Mood furniture unit.

All these items are made by the Germany based Duravit AG. you can find all the details on www.duravit.com
