The Fish'n Flush Toilet

9-15-fishnflush.jpg

Don't ask why. It just is, okay? From AquaOne Technologies Inc. out in California, we now have the Fish'n Flush Toilet, which replaces your regular toilet tank with a see-through fish tank that wraps around an inner flush tank. Coming from a company that specializes in water conservation, this is extremely creative. As they put it: "We wanted to develop a product that had a dual purpose - to serve as a proper, fully functional toilet and also as a source of entertainment and conversation." More info and video below the jump...

They have succeeded, though it might make potty training a little bit more difficult. Baby shark anyone?

The price is $299 and the fish tank easily removes for cleaning. (via Yahoo, Thanks, Richard!)

That's awful. So bad. That "dual purpose" explanation probably also appeals to those who bought the pimp shoes w/goldfish. I just feel bad for the fishies. What a view...(ew).

I think it's great! If the fish tank wraps around the inner flush tank then it is not at all harmful to the fishes.

Imagine how great a tool this would be in potty training!

This is the best invention ever!

My cat would love it! But would the nose/vibration/whatever scare the fishies???

It wouldn't look nearly as bad if it had a regular seat/lid and maybe black stones instead of aqua!

Right now it reminds me of Disneyland somehow...

I think this would be so much fun for a kids bathroom. Like someone else said, it would encourage them to potty train, no?

Saw this on HGTV awhile back... *shudder*

I can't tell: is the inner tank also clear? Has anyone ever looked inside their toilet tank? It gets very dirty over time. I'd hate to be able to see that nastiness all the time.

This is hilarious! If i had kids, who had their own bathroom... It would be a feasible purchase.

This is TRAGIC! Looks like something from Lillian Vernon or a similar catalog. One of those really tacky things to put in a mobile home that has a faux fireplace that is also a stereo

I shift between it being tacky and cool. I think it would be better without the themed toilet seat part as well.

2.2 gallons is way too small for goldfish.

But you could have a gorgeous fully-planted display, with a few neons or killifish...

I'm just wondering how odor-proof is the fish tank... Anything below 100% is animal cruelty!

What a convenient location for a fish tank! If the fish dies, he's just a quick scoop and flush away from fishy heaven.

i think it must traumatize the little fishies to live in a crapper.

posted by sam on 2007-01-12 00:25:09

i love it i cant wait until its hooked up in my bathroom i moved my pigs to my laundry room and fishes to the bathroom and if the fishys died it wouldnt be that hard to scoop them over to the toilet

what a waste of a mind to come up with this idea.
How foolish are people to want one of these---what does this teach our children about life?

those fishies have about 2 inches to go back and forth - the end of the video showed them bouncing back and forth between the walls.

So... You moon your fish every time you use the toilet?

And um.... who said this was a *waste* of time (cough). LOL re mooning your fish every time you use the toilet. But then again, if a man was just going to pee the fish may think it was a worm... I'm just wondering if it would be better to have piranhas there. Or what if we could expand this toilet product range and have a mouse farm toilet? Then again, guinea pigs would be nice too. =P Hahahahaha Man I've said it before and I say it again - I LURRRV this site ! HAHA Man I can't wait to show my mum this page ! She will be in tears laughing !

P.S - A disastrous malfunction would be if every time you flush the toilet, it would create an aggressive rushing whirl in the fish tank.
