8-2-flavor.jpgThis is bright stuff. Started years ago by a fellow named Ted in Oregon, a bunch of young turks saved the designs and presses when they later were being destroyed and moved them to New Orleans. Now Flavor Paper has taken on a whole new life. We like it.

Featuring big, bold color in geometric, traditional, funky and floral patterns, Flavor Paper is hand screened and comes in 27" x 15' rolls that run anywhere from $150 to $350. They also have SCRATCH AND SNIFF wallpaper as well that goes for up to $450.

Flavor Paper is easy to contact, but they do sell through a few showrooms in the NYC area, including Fresh Kills for the People, Michael Angelo’s Wonderland Beauty Parlor.

Argh... that Michael Angelo's Beauty parlor website is yet another crappy, impossible to navigate site with no useful information whatsoever. Stay away at any cost!

I think I could like small amounts of this if it were not shiny.

I bought a roll of Kabloom (second pic) in white and silver to cover up the doors on a dreadful Ikea tv armoire, and it really looked nice - enough so that I still have the TV armoire a year and a half later, when originally I had been dying to trash it! That being said, these papers REALLY make a statement and many are mammoth in scale - so you'll need to get extra paper to match and frankly, I'd advise using a pro to hang it. Still, the patterns are truly beautiful, and not as shiny as you'd think.

FlavorPaper is greatness, and nice guys too. Plus they can make you a custom roll of paper in whatever colours, which is rad. ok, i'm nola biased, but hey, we deserve a little attention.

Wow, that red one you're showing would look AMAZING in the entryway of my home.

Fresh Kills no longer carries FP. You can get it online though via www.rarechic.com, which has it all for 10% off retail too. Anything helps when you're dealing with $400 a roll wallpaper....
