Picking up on the wall application craze and going for broke, New York based hipster dVider has just launched a new line of wall stickers that range from the purely decorative to the downright edgy.
Organized into six categories: nature, figures, edgy, animals, patterns, and kids, the myriad of images come in many different sizes, 12 different colors and range from $19 to $41 each. This is a layup for college students and some creatives out there may go nuts with these. From dVider.

I have what you might call "textured" walls. They're old-school plaster, but I think my landlord put some kind of texture on them to disguise the cracks and what not. Will these stick?
To expand on Amy's questions, would these stick on a textured wall paper? We have a wall paper with little ridges on it that is a bland off white color. I think a few of these might be nice, but I don't know if they would stick.
Has anyone tried wall applications from Inhabit? Like these... http://www.2modern.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1469
Interesting, or cheap/tacky?
Are they easy to put up?
They most likely won't stick too well on textured walls...
Depending on the size of the decal you want whu not get a piece of matte board from the art store (some come fairly large though costly) Foram core, or a piece of thin masonite from the Home Depot and make a cutout...
It won't be flush to the wall but on the bright side you can move it around at will...
nnn, those are much stickier, these are like cling film, with no real adhesive of their own.
Thanks for the idea Julian, that could work out very well. Foamcore is a great idea and we seem to have a lot of it around here.
Woohoo how fun!! These remind me of another wall application that I used in an episode. The web site is www.wallwords.com and it's a really cool resource for creating words and phrases on your wall without paint. They come on a "parchment" sort of paper, so you just tape the whole paper up on the wall, burnish it with a credit card and the letters transfer to the wall surface. Peel the parchment off, and Voila! you have words! ~Monica
About 15 years ago when contact paper was big, I traced and cut out different shapes to fit what I wanted. It stuck well to gloss and matte paint and surprisingly, peeled up alright years later (a few small paint chips peeled up with it, but only where it had gotten heated to the wall). But... and this would be true for any type of shapes or stickers, the wall color had faded from the sun everywhere except where the stickers were. So even if you can remove them cleaning, the walls behind will still need a repaint it they've been up for a year or more.
amy - when you say "textured" do you mean uneven or flaky?
To my understanding, the decal will go on just fine if the surface is bumpy or otherwise uneven - you'll just be able to see the unevenness through the "second-skin." If the wall/wallpaper is flaky, then the decal will go on ok, but the flakes will peel off when the sticker is removed.
hope that helps.
Hi I would like to know if the wall stickers, after fixed a time, if they can again be removed and be fixed. They are glue or magnetic?

Alot of the stuff out there is pretty standard. Seems like everyone has the basic circles and geometric shapes. One company that actually has some very unique designs is http://slicksticks.com The people there have an art background. Anyways, good luck with your wall graphic projects.
P.S. If you decide to order from Slicksticks, using the coupon code 'dunc' will give you a discount ;-)
There are lots of wall decals on the market and many claim to be removeable and even moveable. However, if you want something that is of a decent quality and will not peel or curl...stay away from the wall cling/moveable removeable types.
IMHO, you will get a better product, a nicer look, and a more long-lasting adhesion if you get the non-cling type decals. A true wall decal from guys like as posted by dunc above will apply to even the most rough and bumpy of surfaces so long as they are clean and free of oils.
Don't be afraid of making a committment with the more adhesive types of decals...you'll be happier you did in the long run.
Just my 2¢...

Good job! I like how it goes onto the door, too.

Those figure stickers look suspiciously similar to suicidegirls.

One of the girl silhouettes was installed in a model unit I viewed, and I thought it was a little weird to have a person on the wall... kinda spooky.

Wall decals are awesome. I was recently given a sample by somethinurby.com and i've written a detailed review about the entire experience from unboxing to the finished product. I have to say, i'm pretty pleased with the concept of wall decals in the home. Adds a lot of life and colour- you can check out the review over at howshouse.com
