Dear AT,
I have one window in my extremely hot apartment that could use a break from AC with some fresh air.
The problem is that I don't want to close off the original (white) windows with a black screen on the newer, weatherproof, black windows.
This would block AC and window access, making things difficult during the summer months...

Adjustable screens will not stay put in that tall, narrow window to the left of the AC as there is no traditional sill.
I'm ideally looking to install one that can pull down and clamp into place somehow.
Can someone recommend that is sturdy enough to keep my cat in?
Thanks! Diane
I'm confused - Why does the OP need window screens at all? Are there that many mosquitos in New York? Why not just use light breezy floor-to-ceiling curtains?
As far as the "strength" of a screen or window covering - if Kitty is really feeling that suicidal, he'll find some other way to do himself in...

I am confused too.
Which one is black window and which one is white?

The white is made up of the smaller squares. You can see a pull down blind that separates that window with the newly installed window (with the black panes). I realize my picture is not the best, but my description should fill the gaps.
And no, bepsf, curtains won't work with an indoor cat and an apartment on the 11th floor. Any real help out there?
