Magnetic Faceted Curtain by Florian Kräutli

Remember Hanna Allijn's Faceted Curtains? This similar design from Florian Krä utli adds the power of magnets to create a sturdier and more permanent sculptural shape as you push and pull the fabric...

Florian Krautli's website lists the Magnetic Curtain as a future offering of Dutch design collective, Droog. We will wait and see if it makes into production. Via: swissmiss.

Now, I'd like to say I remember this too:
http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/la/news/magnetic-curtain-by-florian-krautli-042152

But I joined in early April, and I remember both featured curtain designs being reposted since then and someone making a comment about how one is a ripoff of the other. So if I can't find it, I guess it's ok to post it again?

I love this! It would be perfect as curtains when you need to block that one ray of sun, just so...

Any guesses on what the fabric is? It sorta looks like tyvek to me... something that's able to hold the creases.

Ha, this is brilliant. It's one of those things that make me wonder why I didn't think of it sooner.

nobody thinks that this is one of those ideas best left in the conceptual design realm?

i am not so into this sort of thing; after purchasing a molo soft wall for a client I find items like this more problematic than pragmatic.
