Interior designer Marie Olsson Nylander and her husband Bill believe in the timeworn beauty of old things. Yes, they’ve created a shiny white canvas as a base, but that canvas only serves as a backdrop for the brilliant pops of color they’ve collected in the objects, art and furniture that inhabit the space. Nothing is too precious or delicate, and each piece tells a story all its own…

Shaw's Original Fir...
Some very nice pieces.
I'm tired of so many all-white homes. It seems like I've just seen far too many of them lately. They are nice, but even full of lovely unique pieces, they feel kind-of sterile to me. Like a showroom. Yes, it shows off their collections very well, but somehow it seems like nobody lives there.
I like all the white, but am not sure how to implement it. How could someone do something similar in (in my case) a condo, without it just looking too builder-grade. Going with a higher gloss white?
Great home. I do not feel this as an all-white-home. They used a lot of color, only the walls are white. If you have a very bland condo or home, I would stay away from all white. Often that looks like it was cheap builder solution.
That coffee table is so cool!
What's up with the dining table? I hope they remove the huge centerpiece before they dine -- I doubt people on one side can see those on the other with that there, let alone keep the place settings.
so pretty but the idea of storing kitchen articles in "aged" wood and an obviously rusty old coffee table and rusted spiral staircase (accident waiting to happen) is better in theory than in practice. Rust is just nasty.
I covet that bright blue lamp though.
