That chandelier, as well as a similar one that I've seen recently in the window of the Columbus Avenue studio of DWR, is one of the few things that I've seen here that I feel compelled to say unequivocally that find to be as ugly as homemade sin.
wow, i think they are beautiful! industrial and elegant. im going to try to make one this weekend...any tips?
wow, that is molto hideous and hard to dust. I remember that 12000 or 3000 original design that this rips off. It was nice but even nicer when some Canadian Sicilian on HGTV recreated it for like $20. His and the original design is a better combination of sparkly and spartan.
I love the original chandelier version, but this one looks like a little like Frankenstein in drag.
I'm also surprised Currents is giving such play to such a derivative design.
No, I don't think I can go down that road...I'm all for mixing old and new and all, but there's a limit and this goes beyond, and then some.
The price of this version is ridiculous. I feel the design is not well thought out. It is not my cup of tea.
I enjoy the original version but not enough to hang it in my dining room. If you like this type of chandeliers, I suggest you gather some friends and make your own as a DIY project. You can hang it for a few parties and discuss the merits of your own creation.
