As new products and building materials become available to consumers, show homes have typically been an excellent marketing tool and educational resource. The Green House as Classroom explores the rapid growth of Green show homes and their integration into modern lives. In addition to Alysia Reiner and David Alan Basche's Harlem row house that was featured in Dwell magazine and Wired magazine's Wired LivingHome, the article looks at contractor and developers' Green projects that help expose new, more environmentally-friendly building practices... Brooklyn's Green Depot is featured with their program to help educate Pratt design students about new green materials and practices. (Pics: Steve Burmeister, Andrea Mohin)
