If this whole artist deal doesn't work out for Michael Johansson, we would highly recommend he go into the closet/garage organization or house moving business. Johansson's visually engaging sculptures are colour-coordinated Jenga towers made from everyday objects collected from flea markets, tightly positioned in what could be imagined as time capsules of a lifetime of "things" we all accrue. Now pardon us now as we reorganize our closet.
Michael Johansson describes the ideas behind his work:
I am fascinated by flea markets. Walking around to find doubles of seemingly unique, though often useless objects I have already purchased at another flea market, is not only an inquisitive activity for me but part of my working process. Despite the fact that I did not have any use for most of these objects in the first place, the unlikely ness of discovering them twice in two different places makes the desire for their possession irresistible. The unique and the unknown origin of the object increases my wish to own its double. The rules compelling me in selecting things at flea markets are also central to my art practise.

White Enamel Flatwa...
These are amazing! He must be fantastic at Tetris.
Those are beautiful.
15 years ago I found a dress with no label from the 1970s at a thrift shop in NJ. I wore it a lot. About 5 years later I found the exact same dress- also in my size, but in a different material at a thrift shop in Florida.
He's right. The amazement at finding 2 random things in 2 entirely different places is really compelling.
I continued to wear both dresses until I had my daughter 2 years ago. Now my goal is to fit into them again.

How great! The white wall reminds me of Louise Nevelson but even more engaging and exciting.
These are really cool. He can visit my closet, pantry, cabinets, etc... any time.
I love the white wall
Flipping brilliant. These make me very happy and inspired.
