It's a great solution for small space dwellers; you can roll an office cart to wherever it will fit, and even tuck it in a closet when company comes.

i swoon for #3. soooo out of my budget. My solution, instead of files, I use 3 ring binders with interior folders/sleeves things cant fall out of. One day I will put pretty contact paper on the spines. they live on shelves [when in house] or behind love seat [when on boat]. my "office" is an overflowing mess, it has become the flat space junk repository. my inbox/to do pile is a pretty basket [when on shelves, works quite well]. planning to turn part of the open shelving into a 'secretary' style area so i can close it up and not subject my better half to the mess. if anyone has an idea for a folding desk that is big enough to roll out full size architectural plans I'd love to hear it.
What is the source for the actual cart in #2, I love it! The link just takes you to the homepage of Real Simple.
@Red, this is what I use as a sewing table. It might be big enough? http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20104718/
@ S.R.K. - I was curious about that too. Ended up doing a google search since the RS search was useless. Here's the actual article which includes the purchase info. Nice -- but a little pricey!

I think I'll be adding this to my upcoming projects. Perfect little ensemble for small cozy spaces.
