The office can be a stressful place at times, but that doesn't mean you can't spruce it up a bit with some straight up attitude and added functionality. Take for example what Bojan from Kreativa Studio has done by adding some eye-catching shelves against a bright and colorful wall that makes it "pop" like no other.

We certainly believe in an all-or-nothing way of designing here at Apartment Therapy, so going half-way just won't cut it. When selecting a color for a wall, make sure you really love it (as in wait it out for a month before committing to it), and then stick with it completely as you theme out the rest of your room.
The examples you see here are on the greener side of the color wheel, but we've always viewed the various tones of nature to be one of the most satisfying colors to choose when painting a home office.

love the talk bubble shelves. I have seen a few things similar to that. Currently painting our office at work right now and the huge wall behind me is going to be red, it would look amazing with some of these. Wish somebody sold them since if we did it here, id be the one making them.
AT had a post on the bubble talk shelves a few years ago. I don't know if the design still makes or distributes them but see http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/shelving-storage/comic-shelf-by-oscar-nunez-086260

West Elm has the angle nesting shelves on sale now ($59.99 for set of 3). I always thought 2 sets of those would great against a bright wall.
