Wall decals were such a novelty when they first arrived on the scene and while there is so much more variety available today, they can seem a bit tired or overdone. Unless, of course, you use them in unexpected ways. Say...on the ceiling.

Here are four rooms where the parents were inspired to get out their ladders to add some decal decor. It seems especially smart in rooms with low and sloped ceilings which can be a decorating challenge.
