Name: Jacqueline
Location: California
Children: Kara Avery, age 5 months
Inspiration: When I found out I was having another girl, I knew I didn't want to use pink again. I decided on a serene silvery/lilac for the walls, and then added a little punch with the peach shades in the Alexander Henry fabric that I used to make the accent pieces. I thought it all went well with the dark wood crib that I already had from my first baby.

Tip for Using Color: Color doesn't always need to be super saturated to make a statement. I like to keep the walls in a nursery toned down, then add pops of color through accessories so it is not so overwhelming.

the bedding is beautiful!
I love how calm it is & that is will translate nicely to a more grown up setting when she is older.
Great!
This room is glorious. I can't imagine a more perfect room for a little girl. She is very lucky to have such a crafty mother. Bravo.
LOVE it!! So serene--honestly a nice change from the super-saturated looks. This is the kind of room I'd want to have. It's graceful, not girly, and not too busy. The bedding with your accent pieces, and your chair corner, are gorgeous!!
Thank you so much everyone for your sweet comments!
JackieL, what is the name of the Alexander Henry fabric? My walls are similar in color and I love the peachy orange pop! Thank you so much for sharing.
The fabric is called Marni Garden. It is from a few years ago, but I found mine recently at a quilting shop in town that was going out of business.
