Name: Erin
Location: Northern Virginia
Children: Cora, 3-weeks-old
Inspiration: The room faces West and gets a lovely warm glow in the afternoon and as the sun is setting. We decided to make this even more prominent, by choosing a warm yellow, and accenting with red, orange and brown. She was a delivery surprise, so we needed a room that would work for a boy or girl and would grow with them!

Tip for Using Color: Get the right color - even if it means buying numerous tester pots (or quarts) and painting swatches on the wall so you can see what the color looks like in the room, under different lighting conditions.
Colors Used: The yellow paint is Citron in Modern Emulsion, from Farrow and Ball. The dots on the wall are Freckles from Modern Seed. The red bookcase is from Land of Nod (in Tomato) as are the bins.

Where is the crib from, I don't recognize it?
Where's the bedding from, that quilt is beautiful! The curtains look like they're from Dwell Studio, but it's not from the same set, right?
I love the crib. Is it metal?
i have those same curtains in my boys' nursery! they are indeed dwell, but are from their target line.
The crib is the Cielo from Q Collection Junior - it's beautiful (sustainable) solid ash in the "moonlight" finish. We are thrilled with it. Very solid and will hopefully last for years and multiple kids!
The quilt was from the now discontinued Gap bedding line, "Dots", as was the crib skirt. The dotted sheet and curtains are indeed from the Dwell by Target line.
Where is that bookshelf and baskets from?
The bookshelf is from Land of Nod. It's their 8-cube bookcase, but doesn't appear to be in red any longer...
The baskets (both the white ones and the red/orange one on the floor) are also from Land of Nod - called Strapping baskets.
I really like the dresser/changing table with the blue handles. Where is it from?
Thanks! The dresser is actually from Ikea (Hemnes in white), but I purchased inexpensive blue porcelain knobs from Lowes and replaced the original ones.
I love the room! Please please please tell me about the bird mobile and how I can get one or make one if you made it! I'm drooling over it!!!!!
I love the changing pad cover, the subtle circles - where is it from?
The origami mobile was hand-made by my sister, but I think I've seen similar projects on ohdeedoh? She used a variety of colors of printed paper from the craft store, and hung each crane on sewing thread. They are all suspended from a frame she made of cotton covered wire.
The changing pad cover is from Babies R Us actually - it's part of the Amy Coe Simply Swirl line.
Hiyall - I've seen crane mobiles for sale on etsy.com.
Really, really neat! Where did you get the circus pictures/posters? I want to get some. They look fantastic in there.
