Name: Whitney
Location: Birmingham, Alabama
Children: Fisher, 20 months
Inspiration: We fell in love with Heather Ross's fishy fabric when we had our first son, Jones, and decided to use it for the inspiration of our next nursery. It worked perfectly when we decided to use the name Fisher!

Tip for Using Color: Don't be afraid of using bright colors. They spark the imagination and warm up your soul! Pair a vibrant color with a more subdued one and you have a perfect balance.
Colors Used: We used Heather Ross's fishy fabric with the coordinating stripe to make the custom black-out shade, bedding, and accompanying quilt. The orange corduroy glider is from Best Chairs, Inc. The white cabinet is actually two bathroom vanity cabinets from Target screwed together. We constructed a one large surface for the top and initially had a diaper changing station on it - now it holds shoes and books.

Shaw's Original Fir...
love the orange circles
I love everything about this room. The circles boarder, the orange chair that looks so inviting - I want one. I'm familar wit the Heather Ross fabric too and it's one of my favorites.
Love it! Love the colors and the brightness of it.
absolutely adorable!! I, too, love the circles (how did you get the border so straight?) and the colors, the fabric and the white furniture (and orange chair) look fantastic. Very nice.

I love the fishy fabric!
How did you do the border? It's great. The Heather Ross fabric is fabulous, the entire line.
we cut the border out of masonite on a CNC router, then primed and painted it. it's in a few pieces which were seamed together once we nailed them up on the wall. my husband is quite the handyman. :)
i love this room! it's great to see such an amazing use of color without spending thousands of dollars at the trendiest baby sites.
i love it!
You have a nice balance of color and unlike so many others, everything fits.
