Poppy was one of the names we considered. I was picturing the exact same color scheme. It completely suits the name. It looks beautiful!

Responding to herz9160, I made the mobile by wrapping ribbons over an old lampshade. I just cut a whole bunch of ribbons to provide a feel for the room. Then I used one long thread to sew each ribbon onto the lampshade. I made the mobile before anything else in the room so it set the tone for the rest of the room. The mobile hangs from a long ribbon attached to a rubber hook on the ceiling. When I spin the mobile, it flares out as it unwinds itself. This is a simple project, it only took about an hour to make. Try it!

I love it! I adore hot shades of pink and orange together. And you have a wonderfully eclectic style of decor.

To answer a few questions...
The letters in Poppy's room are from Paper Source. They come in kraft paper brown. I covered them myself from Paper Source papers.
The desk and chair was a garage sale find. I actually bought two sets of them when my son (now 6) was a baby, totalling about $15. They were all beat up with the metal painted a drab brown. I sanded them and coated them with shellac. I painted the metal Candy Apple Red, along with my son's dresser and bookshelves.
The crib quilt is a Denyse Schmidt design. I bought it at our local baby store on sale, since it was alone, rather than part of the crib set. Denyse Schmidt's work is amazing. Check it out. The quilt on the rocking chair is a work in progress. It is also a Denyse Schmidt design, however this one I am making from her "Single Girl" pattern. I am making it in the twin size for Poppy's transition to a "big girl" bed. The colorful fabrics are scraps from Poppy's outgrown clothes as well as handmade dresses and other projects I have sewn for her. Sewing projects are my total passion so having a little girl to sew for is a lot of fun.
