112409_tf_discocds.jpgIn this economy, there's no reason to go out and buy cheap holiday decorations at the drug store just to fit in with the rest of the building. Use a little creative elbow grease to make some ornamental ornaments from old tech.

112409_tf_disco.JPGUse those old disco CDs you have lying around (Really, disco? You don't need them!) and turn them into sweet disco ball decorations. A little bit modern, a little bit retro—but all festive and fun!

All you need is a styrofoam ball from a craft store (Get whatever size you need) and a pile of old CDs. Cut the CDs into small squares and glue them, reflective-side out, to the ball with a glue gun. (Handy tip: start by gluing the squares around the thick center of the ball like in the image above!)

Could recycling old tech be any more easy and fun?
