- What I Love About My Small Home:
- I love how we managed to give it a Scandinavian look, even though white walls are a "no-no" in our country. I also love the plenty of tiny details we gathered from all around the world - the scratch map of the world, the Tour de France posters, the hand-written "you look great today" mirror, the Turkish coffee-maker and many others. This is our first home and we were on a tight budget, but tried to give it some personality with the details.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- The storage space is so limited, especially for us, the people with many hobbies! Even the amount of groceries we buy has to be scrutinized: "will it fit on the shelf?" So we made some additional mezzanine storage in the hall, but still have to use every possible surface to store stuff, and it looks messy at times.

What a beautiful, clutter-free home. The amount of natural light is wonderful! Pardon my ignorance, but why are white walls a "no-no"?
I loved the floor and walls in the bathroom.
Wow, I've never seen someone mount an ikea book shelf to the wall like that. Very interesting...
Love it! Great to see international submissions. I'm guessing the screen over the entryway to the kitchen is for projected TV? Nice alternative to having a big, ugly TV in the living room :) -- it also allows the couch to be against the wall, creating more space. Excellent!
The deeply beveled subway tile in the bathroom is really nice, btw
lovely!!
54 sq meters is not small by Moscow standards ;). Our first apartment was about 200 and we thought it was a palace ;). Nevertheless it's really nice, bright and uncluttered. Wish you showed more of the bedroom space. Balcony off the bedroom is really cool too (well I did not see it but can certainly guess)
I meant 200 sq ft, 18 sq meters
That huge cityscape is way cool.
Your place looks HUGE.
Lovely! I feel like I can put on my pointe shoes and go pirouetting around without fear of hitting anything. Your beautiful home has the look and feel of great breeziness. Great job!
i like your kitchen its so skandinavian and i love your NYC photo in your bedroom.
love your bathroom, but i would put a real mirror there!
Teakfreak: its just been more common to use wallpaper for many generations.
