2007-10-17-heading.jpgOliebollen means Dutch donuts. It's the perfect name for a store selling fresh and fun things for kids.

2007-10-17-pillow.jpgIt was founded by former stay-at-home mom Margaret Schankler who admits that she has "a stubborn addiction to childish living." The art on the site is created by another mom, Deb Pilutti. While Oliebollen carries all of the hip designers, their selection really is an eclectic mix we love browsing through. This pretty Glug Baby Pillow is perfect for the nursery- or for anywhere in the house for that matter! It's 14" x 14" with silkscreened linen on the front and pink corduroy on the back.

We love this alphabet sampler. It's handpainted and handprinted on solid wood, and would mix things up a little bit in a modern nursery.

Over in the sale section we found this Paulina Quintana Crib Bedding Set. We love the gender neutral colors and pattern.

Just in time for Halloween festivities, Oliebollen has some tasteful costume ideas. This Blue Bird Mask is from Zid Zid Kids, handmade by artisans in Marrakesh. Other costumes include a chef, a bumblebee, and a princess cape- all for under $30.
