It might be silly to post about outdoor furniture with winter here, but as a lover of summer, I can't wait until we can be outside enjoying our outdoor spaces again. I found one outdoor furniture set making me wish for summer even sooner.
Combining the Greek word for stone and the Spanish word for wave, O-Lithas is the creation of Austin designer Efrain E. Velez. The idea behind this design centers around the appearance of making a stone slab "appear to be light and fluid like a wave." We'll admit, even though this table and bench are made of cast concrete, they do appear to be light and airy.
The wave design not only creates a neat pattern, it serves as a structural reinforcement along the span of the slab and the groove fits the radius of the recycled metal bar base. Did I mention this is all eco-friendly?
Recently licensed to the manufacturer Meld USA out of North Carolina, you can expect to find this neat indoor/outdoor furniture set available in 2011. Hopefully in time for summer!
