Omer Arbel did something so wonderful no-brainer with his electrical wall plug designs: he made them circular. By just changing the standard outlet from the normal recognizable shape into a circular one, the minimalist design offers a more decor friendly solution for the tech-design savvy home...
The 22 is a complete suite of electrical wall accessories which challenge the traditional, tired and ubiquitous cover plate concept. Power receptacles, lighting controls, switches, telephone and data connections cable and speaker outlets, etc are mounted flush into drywall or millwork with a new, CSA and UL approved, utility patent pending system which eliminates the need for a cover plate. The operative components are mounted flush with the surface of the wall and "muddled in" for a visually subtle finish. The components are snap fit and may be ejected using a key to allow access to the interior of the junction box for maintenance or rewiring.
We especially like seeing these flush mounted into walls, but the perforated base plate version isn't too hard on the eyes either. More beautiful work at Omar's site.
