Take It With You. Looking back at some reader feedback from previous Good Questions, we decided to take a longer look at OmniMount. Known for their speaker and stereo mounts, the company has branched off with solutions for nearly all areas of in-home entertainment systems and flatscreens. While the site features nearly endless solutions for audio and video storage and display, we are most interested in the furniture that is free-standing and does not require wall-mounting — ideal solutions for renters!... OmniMount has to offer, the following three products were our favorites:
The Studio 3 mount is for 32"-45" Flat Panels TVs. It features a Wenge wood back panel, steel frame and base, casters, and built-in DVD/CD storage. Its 10mm tempered glass shelves can support a maximum of 100 lbs. Available in black or platinum finish. The unit measures 59.25" H x 47.5" W x 19.25" D and is $499 from TelevisionWallMounts.com.
The Studio 4 model is similar to the Studio 3 but is ideal for 42"-63" flat panel TVs. It measures 63.5"H x 47.5"W x 19.25"D and is only available in platinum finish for $799 from TelevisionWallMounts.com.
The G3FP holds 37"-50" flat panel TVs and also provides swivel and adjustable height and tilt options. It's rather plain but gets the job done. It measures 50"H x 38"W x 25"D and features a tilt of -5° to +15°. It can be purchased for $349 at P.C. Richard & Son and $299 from J&R and TelevisionWallMounts.com.
