What's up with that triangle of space to the right side of the bed? Is it where the cat sleeps? It looks neat, but all it means is more bed to slide past before you can actually stand up.
I adore these low bed frames. I love the look of the sunken mattress and the large solid structure that surrounds them. I'm all for storage and ultra-low platform pieces but in the end, the idea of getting out of bed in the morning isn't one I think should be questionable. Scoot, slide, shift — how far are you willing to go for beauty?
Most beds are a fairly straight forward item. They consist of a frame and often feet and often have a headboard attached. Some modern beds however try to break the typical bed mold and although they're beautiful and stunning to look at — sometimes I can't help but wonder what it would actually be like to get out of bed each morning.
Although my 30-something self is still design-forward in my decor and furniture pieces, I really don't want to give myself a wedgie sliding to the edge of the bed in the morning just so I can stand up. I don't want to dread standing up because my bed is 3 inches off the ground and I don't want to use a step stool to hop up into one.
Pictured above are a few beds that feel like they'd be a small challenge, which one would you say no to? Tell us why in the comments below!
