It really was only a matter of time until we did an On the Set feature of the movie I Love You, Man. Like many of you, we admit that we paid a little bit more attention to Klaven's Franklin Hills home (and Rashida Jones' wardrobe) than the main plot line. Take a tour of Peter and Zooey's home, along with Sydney Fife's dude room and Zooey's shop after the jump...

And here's a bonus photo of the Klaven wedding--we absolutely love how simple and elegant the "cabanas" were made with wood posts and white fabric draped across the tops:

I just watched this movie this weekend and was wondering when it was going to be mentioned here!
I watched it this weekend, too! Watched it once all the way through, second time I kept pausing it to drool over the sets. Drove my husband crazy :)
Ha! when I first saw this movie, it was like eye design candy...I couldn't wait to have the movie on DVD to have as a reference for ideas..I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this stuff.
this film was so well designed for a dude comedy. i couldn't believe my eyes! also loved the silverlake sunset junction establishing shots!
This movie has the exact amount of awkwardness needed for hilarity.
I watched this movie last week and had the same reaction, and in the out-takes they show the wedding reception tent, just as gorgeous, tented white with nelson bubble lamps.
hmm, I'll have to add this to my Netflix....
I want to be Rashida Jones when I grow up
FYI--The wallpaper from the bedroom looks like its from Ferm Living.

Slap-a da BASS!
i loved the house and the store in this movie! i knew it would be on AT soon!
you sound like a leprechaun.
big time!
Loved the movie... also noticed both sets and yes trully eue candy. Great ideas. I normaly do pay attention to this details on movies also the clothing etc. So cool. you can learn a few stuff.
Can someone tell me where to get that lamp in the first picture? It's the round white table lamp with the brown shade. I've scoured what google and bing throw at me for lampshades, but that's a deep abyss.
these are great sets! though, i have to say that the "cabanas" are not made out of wood.
I know because I was one of the many Grips that constructed it!
The "cabanas" that were ordered were flimsy and we were called in to reinforce the structure with steel pipes and steel cables.
but they were very cool designs and i am kinda proud to see them here on this site!
To Ms Grip:
Are there any photo stills of the "cabanas" that you guys built for I love you, Man? I would love to get a look at the structure for not only an upcoming film we're working on but my wedding as well! Fabulous job!
