On Trend: Pantone's 2016 Colors in the Kitchen

This year color authority Pantone chose not one but two colors of the year. Their picks are Serenity, a cool, dreamy blue, and Rose Quartz, a sweet, soft pink. Although these colors look lovely in all sorts of different interiors, they are especially nice in the kitchen. Feast your eyes on these seven kitchens featuring the two shades of the year.

A common trend in kitchens lately is upper and lower cabinets in different colors. These light pink uppers, spotted on Design Sponge, are especially nice.

Allover blue, on the cabinets, walls, and even the doors, gives this kitchen from Københavns Møbelsnedkeri a luxurious feel.

Another look we're loving: kitchen cabinets in anything but white. Blue is an especially nice choice. Image from Scandinavian Deko.

The Finnish blogger kettukarkki replaced her upper cabinets with open shelves, and painted the whole thing in a lovely, soothing shade of pink.

Haleigh has a Serenity-blue Smeg fridge in her tiny Paris kitchen, and she looks pretty psyched about it. I would be too.
