Geometric prints are one of the biggest design trends this year and, no surprise, babies and kids are getting in on the action. They may look dated in a few years, but right now triangles are fresh, bright and modern. Here are ten products pushing this pattern trend:

Ahhh, Triangles, the Chevrons of 2013.
I've never hated a design trend more than I hate the triangle pattern trend.
I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the triangle, unless it's a wedge of cheese.
LOL @ smilingmegs, I totally agree.
I think triangles surpass chevrons & take over 1st place for the absolute worst design trend ever. A cheese wedge, on the other hand, is always a delight.
LOL @ Parnassus. I'll say this. If I saw one room with some triangles, I'd go "Oh cool, a whole wall of triangles and a triangle quilt. I like it." If I saw 50 rooms (i.e Chevrons) with triangles all over or used as a main decorating element, I'd say, "People, let's please be original."
That's a design trend, like it or not. Just like music or fashion trends, we love to hate them. Whenever this happens, I find the opposite and decorate like that.
There's a word for that. It's called *creativity*. And it's immeasurably refreshing.
I think if you look at it as 'triangles,' it seems a little too trendy. But this is a classic quilt pattern, and if done in a way that recognizes and respects that history I think it's timeless--and there are so many variations! Personally I love pinwheel triangles, or the Flying Geese pattern.
This is the next chevron. Get ready to see it all over and over. I like it but I'd want to change it out in a year...
I actually don't mind the triangles, in fact after having a painting mishap where I tried and failed at a herringbone pattern on my wall (my paint bled and there was no fixing it) I think I'm going to buy some removable trinagles and use them.
If you like something then do it regardless if others think it's passe or over used. I can tell you that none of my friends have any of the trendy things in their houses so it's not like my place is a copy of everyone else I know. You may get sick of seeing them but you're also looking a design blog where there is an over abundance of whatever trend you hate. In reality a majority of people wouldn't know that birch trees are "so 2 years ago" and chevrons have been beaten to death.
