One Aluminum Chair, Ten Ways

We sometimes post a column that explores a single product and the different ways it can be used in the home. This time, Emeco's done the work for us. Their image gallery compiles installations of their chairs to show the range of possibilities.

The Hudson Chair, shown above, was designed by Philippe Starck in 2000 for Ian Schrager's New York Hudson Hotel. Like most of Emeco's chairs, it's created from 80 percent recycled aluminum. It's not cheap—prices range from $670.00 to $1335.00 depending on the finish. If you can afford half that, Emeco is offering a special right now (through February 2010) where you can send in an old aluminum chair and get 50% off a new one.
