We're partial to organizing (and walls painted gray) so this kitchen caught our attention immediately. At first glance, the kitchen looks larger than it is because of its highly organized nature...
Sara goes vertical on all three sides of the space (giving the appearance of a larger room). She also sticks to two basic color palettes--gray and white. It helps that the wood floor is giving off a nice shine (which goes a long way in making the spot seem roomy). And don't forget about the supreme organization that Sara has created. Cookbooks, knives, pots and pans all have a home in this lust-worthy kitchen. While most of her cooking tools are displayed, it doesn't look cluttered because everything is in order. The kitchen is completed with a few pops of color from the apple tea kettle, the stack of cookbooks, and a dish towel.

yay, this is super inspirational! My new apartment has the smallest kitchen I've ever lived with, so I LOVE seeing posts like this. I can only hope our kitchen will look anything close to this neat and organized.
At first, I thought: Is that a see-through fridge door? (But it's not, or is it?)? I HAVE to have one.
@ doro--I thought so at first too! But towards the bottom, I see kitchen towels so I'm thinking no on it being a fridge (but still lust-worthy:)
Sigh, by the time we get the wallboard taped and mudded and sanded and primed and ready for paint, I never want it to be anything close to gray! (Which is the color of raw wallboard/sheetrock, for those wondering)...

The cabinet is just an Ikea cabinet I'm afraid - a see through fridge would be super cool though. The rail and hooks system above the sink is the Ikea Grundtal one :)

Does the oven have a boiler drawer on top of the oven door? I've never seen anything like that... boilers on the bottom always seems so icky & inconvenient to me.... like you're cooking on the floor. is that what it is?
I like it; very nice. I used to have my cookbooks stacked like that, but it's a lot easier to use them when they are side by side. Also loving the pear!
The drawer is a griller - It has a tray that slides out and an element at the top. Its a standard kitchen stove in Aust :) - although pretty out dated now.
The only thing as cute as a baby and a puppy is a teeny tiny stove.
Glass-fronted fridges are available at any large restaurant supply shop. They're standard bar kit.

Way to go Sara, light and bright and full of colour-pop character. And don't apologise for the glass fronted "just an Ikea cabinet I'm afraid" - the fact that you can see the depth of the cabinet through the (reflective) glass really makes the room look bigger, it was a perfect choice for this space.
Oh and I too would love to see a house tour of your place :)
It looks really efficient. For the most part, I really like it.
Not a huge fan of the see-through door on the cabinet and I find cookbooks much more practical when placed vertical - but to each their own.

May I ask WHERE you got that Tea Kettle...my kitchen is done in pears and I LOVE THAT KETTLE!!!

mystisue - The pear shaped kettle was one of the first things I bought when I first moved out of home - years and years ago. I may not have had a washing machine, or any thing to sit on, but I did have a kettle that looked like a pear so it was all good.

The organization is really good, but yeah, I ahte not having a hood over a kitchen (I smoked myself out of my last apt one time making tempora).
I don't understand everyone's fascination with a stove/refrigerator combo. . . it's not even a good idea to put your refrigerator next to your stove for energy efficiency reasons, a combined unit would be bad.
