Because our Christmas Trees always seem to wither up and dry out before New Years eve, we're thinking this wood tree might be a great modern alternative. A great reuse of found wood and tchotchkes from the home, this wood holiday tree is delightful and charming. We also like the smaller sized version of Ingrid's DIY tree which will translate in a smaller home or studio.

The first tree is really beautiful.
Rustic is now a synonym for ugly? I think it's a bunch of old wood, tacked up on a wall. Why bother?
Maybe not to everone's taste, but I can see the appeal. It's about the textures, colors and rhythm. Makes me want to go scrounging for weathery chippy pealy wood scraps.
I've never seen it done before, so just for that reason I think it's unique.
These are appealing to the eye, but something I'd rather see in a shop display than in my home. My local Urban Outfitters has done something similar.
awesome!
Does the first pic remind anyone else of Frank Costanza's Festivus pole?
I like this look.
I love this!
