On-Time Clock by Fabrica

Dear Monday, We aren’t really friends. You might even say we are enemies. It’s not likely that a time machine is going to pop in and mend our relationship, so how will we ever find a way to get along? Enter the cheeky “On-Time” clock by Fabrica and its illusion that there are 3 more minutes of weekend before we have to take the cold plunge into a new week…

It may only be 3 minutes, but anything we can do to avoid Monday’s inevitable arrival is time well spent.

I want to think this is awesome, but it seems confusing. Is the real time from the point of the hand its base?
I would want to read the time from the base, but then the bent bit would be facing the wrong way.

I don't get it - why does this give the illusion of having 3 more minutes of the weekend?
Isn't the clock called "on time" because it is pointing 3 minutes ahead of the real time, much like how many of us set our watches a few minutes ahead because we hope with this buffer we won't be late?

Boy, the clock is clever, humorous, and practical all at the same time. Apparently there are still unexplored ways to design a clock. Bravo.

Surely the clock makes it look like you have 3 fewer minutes, not 3 more minutes.

Agreed with the other comments. This is a clever visual representation of what I do with my clocks at home anyway -- set them a few minutes fast to get me out the door faster.

While this is quite witty, I think just setting your current clocks a few minutes ahead will have a better effect on your punctuality. I know that my clocks are fast, but I'm not really sure how fast. That little extra bit of confusion about exactly how late I'm running really gets my rear in gear.

Thank you for unraveling our misguided logic of wishful thinking. If only someone WOULD invent a clock that gave us 3 extra minutes a day. For now, we'll settle for not being 3 minutes late to work. See what havoc Mondays can wreak on the brain!

Love this clock. One of those simple ideas that makes you wonder why no one thought of it before.

I guess only people like me who always set watches ahead would get this! LOL. I love the clock, but trying to be on time with the method is futile for me.
