We don't know how she does it. The Bay Area's Meg Mateo Ilasco designs a line of textiles, runs the Mod Economy sales and has written several fantastic books. With the AT:SF Fall Cure in full swing, The Space Planner may come in handy when figuring out how to best arrange your rooms. The book includes questionnaires, budget worksheets, laminated grids for use with the vinyl furniture stickers, and pockets for storing photos and articles.
Heads-up: The launch party for Meg's latest book, Craft, Inc., will be held in San Francisco next week and there will be lots of cool giveaways for the home, including:
- Books from the Chronicle Books library.
- Goods from Lotta Jansdotter, Good on Paper, Lovely Design, Jill Bliss, port2port press, Variegated, Denyse Schmidt, Jonathan Adler and Beth Weintraub.
- One lucky person (from the LA and SF parties) who submits their business card will win one month of free advertising on design*sponge.
The party is next Tuesday, October 2 (6-9pm) at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. If you're in the neighborhood, be sure to stop in and get some tips directly from Meg.
