I think I posted this too late in Thread #32 to get any responses - I would love to sew my own sheets, pillows, etc, and am looking to find some of the cool fabrics I've seen displayed by designers like quilt-baby.com and Javis Davis... does anyone know where they get their fabrics? I can't seem to find really good resources for cool vintage/retro/modern fabrics. I've found a few sites, but some of the specific fabrics I'm looking for (I LOVE that multicolored alphabet one featured recently on quilt-baby.com, as it would go nicely with the "Count" wall graphics I bought at sparkability and "Siffror" sheets I bought at IKEA) are eluding me.

I'm planning to sew some things using Amy Butler Fabric (amybutlerdesigns.com) Have you looked at her stuff? It's kind of that vintage/retro feel, though more specific to fashion and homes than baby.

I have found great fabrics online at a few different sources, but I've had the best luck at Repro Depot (http://www.reprodepotfabrics.com/deco.html) and Cia's Palette (http://www.ciaspalette.com/categories/designer.html).

p.s. You could also try Purl SoHo (http://www.purlsoho.com/purl/products/fabric); they have an amazing selection of designer prints.

It looks like many of the fabrics at Quilt Baby are from Amy Butler's Lotus collection. A few are Joel Dewberry and the others look to be Alexander Henry. The fabric shops listed in the other responses above would probably carry most of them.

Once you figure out who makes the print it is pretty easy to find the fabric.

Many of the fabrics are printed by moda. Their website (modafabrics.com ?) has a place where you can view all of their lines, including dick and jane which is popular
