Let's try better. My wife and I just finished the basement and part of the process was to move everything to the garage and return it to the basement after it was finished. Being a "collector" I now find myself with boxes of stuff I most likely don't need, but it pains me to get rid of it. What do others do when found with "wanted it then, don't know if it want it now"?
Frank, there are lots of ways to look at this problem. Go through your things, and think about when the last time you used them, or even looked at them. If its been over a year, its likely time to give it away/throw it away. Or think about whether you could live without it. Since these things have been sitting in boxes, you might have even forgotten what is in there, which means it's time for it go. I had to go through the same perceived pain, but once things were gone, I found that I actually felt better since I didn't have as much old baggage sitting around cluttering up my life.
Thank you Aghman, very good points. I guess we assign too much value to things that we own and not really see if we need them.
