We're getting ready to paint nearly every room in our house, including two for kids - a boy who's 3 and a girl who's 8 months. I would love to see people comment with specific names of the paints they've used (along with the pictures.)
My son & daughter, age 5 & 6, are sharing a room and I just painted the room Cake Stand Blue, from the Valspar Martha Stewart line at Lowe's. It is a lovely pale blue that works for a boy or a girl. I was really pleased with all the shades Martha had in that line. Sorry I don't have a photo at the moment, but it is shown on the Lowes website.
We just painted our nursery Titanium by Benjamin Moore. It's a light, warm grey with subtle green undertones. We love it. Sorry, no picture yet.
We painted our room Wickham Grey (also BM) which in some lights reads as the softest robin's egg blue. Also very happy with the results.
The rest of our house is a crisp white (Snow White, also BM). Not sure how long I'll get away with that though once the baby arrives! But I love white.
I am fond of the combos in our house - all porter paint:
Oxford white (a very pale blue-gray) Dried Thyme (a wonderful sage green) Spring Meadow (a warm gender neutral yellow in the nursery) Baby Bird (a great blue that could go boy or girl)
