I'm eagerly awaiting the art submissions---when are we gonna see? (just wondering...)
I'm thinking I really want to paint a couple of rooms. I've been attached to Benjamin Moore "Atrium White," but, today, I'm longing for something softer...perhaps a gray. Or one of the Ralph Lauren metallics.
I've been really interested in creating a jewelry box out of a found object. My inspiration was a picture of a medium size fridge from the 50s turned into a bookcase. You open the door and there are all the books, stacked on the fridge shelves. I think a small fridge would be great for an armoire style jewelry box (necklaces could hang). Anyone have any other ideas? I want to start scouring thrift stores!
ebrown. Check out the new Domino, p.44 "gray, cream & espresso" paint palette feature. This combination of gray on the walls, espresso on the trim and cream on the ceiling looks great.
[Off topic: found a a very cool graphic pillow today. Posted it on the Flickr slideshow.]
This is really sad news for L.A. preservationists: the majestic Ambassador Hotel (site of the Golden-era Hollywood hotspot, The Cocoanut Grove) has been completely demolished.
